TheLondon Studio Centre is currently involvedin discussions with the University of theArts London about relocating to a dramaticnew landmark building for Autumn 2011.The remarkable new 39,000 square-metrecampus for Central Saint Martins in Kings Crosswill house the London Studio Centre in theirPerformance Centre which will include a publictheatre, studios and rehearsal spaces.
VOCATIONAL COURSESOFFERED – PERFORMINGThe three year course at the London StudioCentre is accredited by the Council forDance Education and Training (UK).B.A. Hons. Theatre Dance (Classical Ballet,Contemporary Dance, Jazz Theatre Dance,Music Theatre), validated by the Universityof the Arts London. The course is aimedat the 18 year old student with A-levels,or equivalent qualifications, who wishesto pursue a professional training andacademic studies. This unique degreeprogramme enables students to train fora performing career in either classical ballet,contemporary dance, jazz theatre danceor music theatre whilst at the same timegaining an internationally recognisedqualification, which opens the way tofurther study and an extended career.This programme is subject to the qualityassurance procedures established byUniversity of the Arts London.Current connections with the University ofthe Arts London and the proposed merger inAutumn 2011 create a fantastic opportunityfor creative development and collaborationfor our students in an amazing new purposebuilt development just a stone’s throw awayfrom our existing studios.
