28 October Meeting Community Needs Children’s Hospital School – The new classroom and on-site teacher ensure that children in need of longterm hospitalization are given the same educational opportunities as other kids their age. Bloomin’ Bulbs that Benefit – St. Luke’s Auxiliary received more than 200 flower bulb orders for this first-annual fundraiser that allows people to purchase the flowers for which St. Luke’s grounds are known. Bloomin’ Bulbs benefits St. Luke’s NICU Parent Support program. November Surgical Services Department – Improvements to, and expansion of, St. Luke’s Boise operating areas include the Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery, 14 new operating suites, advanced neurosurgery suites with BrainLab technology, and an updated and expanded Central Processing facility. Dedicated pediatric ORs and waiting areas are currently under construction. At Your Request – This room service dining program, which includes fresh-off-the-menu selections, was implemented to increase satisfaction by putting meal service in the hands of the patient.

Ralph J. Comstock Light of Philanthropy Award – St. Luke’s Health Foundation was proud to present Alice Hennessey with the annual Comstock Light of Philanthropy Award. The award provides unique recognition for the considerable achievements of individuals who reflect the spirit and leadership of Ralph J. Albertsons was recognized as the Business Recipient, and Charles and Carolyn Leader received the Individual Recipient acknowledgement. Magic Health Partners – This physician practice management entity, co-owned by St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center and Magic Valley Regional Medical Center, assumed management of Wood River Family Medicine (formerly the Hailey Medical Clinic). 29
