Inrecent years, the MNDH has coordinated the Brazilian section of thePlatform.While the theme of human rights was gaining strategicimportance in Brazil, especially in the areas of economic, social, andcultural human rights, the MNDH opted to expand participation in thePlatform, which now includes: the Food First Information and ActionNetwork (FIAN-Brazil), the Global Justice Center, GAJOP, the Justiceand Peace Commission of São Paulo (Comissão Justiça e Paz), and FASE.The Brazilian section of the Inter-American Platform acts withinthe following areas: a) lobbying and organization at the international level;b) organization of annual campaigns in Brazil on themes not ordinarilyassociated with economic, social and cultural rights; c) monitoring theimplementation of human rights in Brazil; d) overseeing the process ofrevising and amplifying economic, social and cultural rights in theBrazilian National Human Rights Plan; e) creating national special
