110 From Hopscotch To HolinessIntimacy with God has been described as being fully known and fullyloved by God. The Lord who knows us best, loves us most. This kind ofintimate friendship with God is only possible when we are assured of ouridentity in Christ.PRAYER AT STATIONS: Prepare signs for the first three stations that includethe title and focus. Participants can be encouraged to pray silently firstfor themselves and then to intercede for the church. The fourth stationis an example of receiving prayer in tongues for churches that are opento that experience. Designate a person beforehand to pray in the Spiritwith anyone who sits in the designated chair. No attempt should be madeto interpret the tongue or prophesy over the participant in this instance.PRAYER IN GROUPS: Participants should use the designated scripturesand together make the faith confessions that are in bold letters. Finally, they are encouraged to pray together corporately for a fresh revelation ofGod’s love for them.COMING TO THE CROSS: Prayer groups will likely finish at different times. So it is wise to encourage participants to come to the cross for the timeof prayer as they finish the prayer activity on our identity in Christ. Youwill need to provide paper for written prayers and a container at the altarfor receiving them. Worship through song will call people back together.PRAYER OF BLESSING: This prayer activity is a very simple example ofpersonalizing a scripture with a person’s name that you want to pray for. Each person in the circle should have the opportunity to both receiveprayer and bless another.Items need for the concert of prayer:1. Signs for stations2. Paper and pens to write out prayers when coming to the cross
