Growing In Supernatural Ministry81throughout his ministry. Miracles and signs and wonders aboundthroughout the stories of Jesus. Therefore, growing up in Christ enablesus to do likewise. We should expect no less.MIRACLESMiracles are supernatural events or acts of God that cannot be explainedby natural laws. They amaze us because they are outside our naturalworld experience. Scripture says the mark of a true apostle is signs, wonders and miracles. Consider 2 Corinthians 12:12. “I persevered indemonstrating among you the marks of a true apostle, including signs, wonders and miracles.” Paul was following Jesus’ example of supernaturalministry. The first public miracle in Jesus’ ministry when he turned water intowine demonstrated his heaven-sent power and his glory. Consider John2:11. “What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of thesigns through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believedin him.” Throughout his ministry, Jesus restored sight, made the lamewalk, brought the dead back to life, fed thousands with what was athand, and consistently demonstrated the power and love of God. Whenthe early disciples saw Jesus’ miracles they believed. They put theirfaith in Christ. Personally, I consider faith the most significant miracleof all. Faith in God and the resulting transformation of individuals’ livesstands as a true miracle of the Lord. Faith represents a spiritual healingas we understand eternal life. As believers change the whole churchwill also be transformed. When every believer begins to co-labor withChrist in supernatural miracles, the world will be dramatically changed.Unbelievers will come to know Christ. Multitudes will put their faith inthe living God. Personally, I press into that vision for the church and theworld with fervent prayer.
