Any remote Outstation must be capable of being connectedto and interrogated by an Instation at a central location of the DWTS.The Instation will download the Online Monitoring System at thespecified time and frequency.A centralized master clock operated by the DWTSO shall generate thetime stamp used for the reading of Online Monitoring System and forthe data exchange.Interrogation of the Outstations shall be possible using any of thefollowing media, as specified by the DWTSO:(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)(f)public telephone networks;radio data networks;private networks;mains signalling/power line carrier channels/fibre optic channels;low power radios; andany other media specified by the DWTSO.Error checking facilities shall be included in all communication facilitiesbetween Outstations and Instations.InstationsInstations shall be fitted with separate ports for local and remoteinterrogations. The local interrogation port would be capable of use forcommissioning, maintenance and fault finding and time setting. A seriesof security levels and coding facilities shall be provided to limit access todata and other features to authorized Persons only.Instations shall be capable of collecting all data from the OnlineMonitoring System by daily interrogation or other time interval to bespecified. It should however, be possible to repeat collections of data atany time throughout the Outstation data storage period.Data transmission units and OutstationsOutstations shall be fitted with separate ports for local and remoteinterrogations. The local interrogation port shall be capable of use forcommissioning, maintenance and fault finding and time setting. A seriesof security levels and coding facilities shall be provided to limit access todata and other features to authorized Persons only.Each analyzer shall provide two outputs per measured parameter.
