How to create a project that will improve the quality of life for the community? CHALLENGE Project should provide mobility and flood safety, but many communities request additional benefits such as improved ecosystems or recreational amenities. SOLUTION Encourage community and City funding participation to facilitate development of secondary benefits like recreational amenities. Create renderings to help convey how the project can enhance the communities’ public space. Invite naturalists to become partners in the design process and hold walkthroughs to gain community input.
