Can you think of a better way to enjoy a great autumn day than celebrating a Scarecrow Fest tradition? There are so many fun activities, such as scarecrow building, ice cream eating contest, listening to great music and more for all to experience. Please bring money for lunch. This FREE event for families has something for everyone including games, a moon bounce, hayrides, face painting, candy hunt and much more! Boo Bingo will be held in the Community Building from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Stop by the Pumpkin Patch and each child can pick their very own pumpkin to take home or participate in a decorating contest. Please note that the Park District has limited decorating supplies so make sure to bring extra decorating supplies if participants want to be creative! Winners will be announced at 3:45 p.m. or at the conclusion of the event. Bring your kids or your pooch to have their picture taken with Santa to support a great cause! Proceeds from photos go to help CDR rescue more dogs! Then stay for some hot chocolate and holiday treats and make a special holiday craft to take home.
