York Assessment of Reading for Comprehension:
Passage Reading Primary and Secondary (YARC
Primary and YARC Secondary) (pages 28–31) are
ideal follow-up assessments to NGRT Digital. Whilst
NGRT Digital screens and monitors the reading ability of
pupils on a group level to identify those with potential
difficulties, YARC Primary and YARC Secondary will
enable you to carry out and in-depth, individual
assessment of a pupil’s decoding and comprehension
skills. A wealth of invaluable diagnostic information on a
pupil’s reading skills can be used to inform timely and
appropriate intervention strategies.
