Measures of Children’s Mental Health & Psychological Wellbeing is a unique
portfolio of assessments authored by highly-respected professionals from
across the fields of educational and clinical development, designed to help
all levels of school staff and clinical practitioners diagnose and respond to a
child’s mental health needs quickly.
Children experiencing emotional or mental health issues are unlikely to be
able to fulfil their potential in the classroom and schools have a duty to help
with the early recognition and identification of these children. Responding
quickly with appropriate interventions and providing specialist help where
necessary will provide these children with the support they need to achieve
to the best of their ability.
Measures of Children’s Mental Health & Psychological Wellbeing can be
used by a range of staff including teachers, SENCOs and school nurses. It
provides a range of simple, paper-based assessments that can be used to
measure the development of a child’s social and emotional skills,
individually or in a group setting.
Along with an informative
introduction booklet, the portfolio
comprises a further seven booklets
containing over 50 valuable
instruments for measuring a child’s
mental health and psychological
wellbeing. Full guidance is
provided on how to administer,
score and interpret each measure,
as well as ideas for subsequent
intervention.
By using Measures of Children’s
Mental Health & Psychological
Wellbeing you can assess your
pupils emotional needs over time
and ensure that any specialist
interventions introduced are
helping them progress in school.
