Canon launches new PowerShot and IXUS ranges
In January Canon unveiled seven new additions
to its PowerShot and IXUS camera ranges. The
range is designed to provide the perfect solution
whatever you’re shooting, whether it’s close up
or from a distance with the three new
superzoom PowerShots, on a night out with one
of three new compact IXUS cameras, or being
creative with the new PowerShot N2.
Perfect for capturing moments from a distance,
the new superzoom PowerShot SX530 HS,
PowerShot SX710 HS and PowerShot SX610
HS offer the ultimate flexibility, ensuring you
can record everything, from family summer
holidays to weekends away, in great quality.
Canon’s latest bridge camera, the PowerShot
SX530 HS, features an outstanding 50x optical
zoom and 100x ZoomPlus, while the pocket
sized PowerShot SX710 HS’s 30x optical zoom
and the PowerShot SX610 HS’s 18x optical
zoom help you get closer to those hard to reach
subjects.
For tackling tricky shots, the Auto Zoom
function on all three models helps you keep
your subject in the frame by automatically
detecting the number of people and adjusting
the zoom level to determine the optimal size.
Meanwhile, Intelligent IS ensures each shot is
crisp and clear. Once captured, you can start
sharing your images and Full HD Movies to
your smartphone and tablet with a single touch,

new PowerShot N2 gives you everything you
need in the palm of your hand. The unique
symmetrical square design features innovative
zoom and shoot lens rings, so you can take

creativity, the enhanced Creative Shot mode
creates an array of different creative treatments
with every picture taken; the intelligent
