USE THE FORCE<br />
Robert Mathis has totaled 103.0 career sacks in his 11-year career<br />
with the Colts, which ranks second in club history behind Dwight<br />
Freeney’s 107.5. In 2005, he registered a sack in 11-of-13 games<br />
and set an NFL record with sacks in eight consecutive contests to<br />
start a season. Mathis has 25 multiple-sack games in his career<br />
and three 3.0-plus sack games. He had a streak of four consecutive<br />
multiple-sack games this season from Weeks 2-5. Dating back to<br />
his rookie season in 2003, Robert Mathis leads the Colts defense<br />
in forced fumbles with 42, which ranks first in the NFL during that<br />
time span.<br />
SACK STREAK<br />
Robert Mathis recorded a sack in eight consecutive games ending<br />
with the Colts’ 2012 Week 9 contest against Miami, tying his personal<br />
best for his career. The streak dates back to the final three<br />
games of the 2011 season through the first five games he played<br />
in 2012. His previous eight-game sack streak came in the first eight<br />
games of the 2005 season. Dwight Freeney also had a nine-game<br />
sack streak from December 18, 2008 through November 8, 2009.<br />
DOUBLE-DIGIT SACKS<br />
In 11 NFL seasons, Robert Mathis has totaled five double-digit sack<br />
seasons. Since 1982, the Colts have recorded 18 individual double-digit<br />
sack campaigns.<br />
