COLTS NOTES
COLTS INJURY UPDATE
COACH PAGANO - MONDAY TRANSCRIPT
“Injury update-wise, DHB (Darrius Heyward-Bey) was the only guy
that we had last night. We got guys nicked up, normal stuff. Again,
he was pulled out of the game, taken in for observation. As far as
being evaluated for a concussion, was cleared. Did not have a concussion.
Again, at that point in the game, he took a good shot, but
we just wanted to err on the side of caution and didn’t put him back
in. He’ll continue to be evaluated today and tomorrow and stuff, but
he should be fine.”
NEVER OUT
The Indianapolis Colts overcame an 18-point second-half deficit to
defeat the Houston Texans 27-24 on Sunday Night Football at Reliant
Stadium. Andrew Luck connected with T.Y. Hilton for three
touchdowns on three consecutive drives in the second half to give
the Colts the victory.
The comeback tied the sixth-largest in franchise history, having last
overcome the same margin against Green Bay on Oct. 7, 2012.
NO FRIENDLY FIRE
The Colts have committed the least amount of turnovers and penalties
in the NFL this season. In his press conference on Monday
(10/28), Head Coach Chuck Pagano stated the importance of both
of those areas:
“We talk all the time, you don’t win games in the National Football
League, you lose them,” said Pagano. “You just try to avoid the
friendly fire and not shoot yourself in the foot, so to speak. If we can
continue to take care of the little things, take care of the cents, as we
talk, the dollars will come. We’ll make sure that we keep harping on
the little things.”
