TWO OF A KIND<br />

Wide receiver Reggie Wayne made his 1,000th career reception in<br />

the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game against the San Diego<br />

Chargers (10/14) and became the ninth player in NFL history to accomplish<br />

the feat. With five receptions in the game, Wayne also<br />

passed Hines Ward (1,000) for eighth-most receptions all-time.<br />

The Colts also became the first team in NFL history to have two<br />

players with 1,000 receptions each with the franchise. Marvin Harrison,<br />

who played his entire 13-year career with Indianapolis, ranks<br />

third in NFL history with 1,102 catches.<br />

71 STRAIGHT GAMES<br />

Reggie Wayne caught three-or-more passes in an NFL-record<br />

71 consecutive games. He broke the previous record when he<br />

caught eight passes for 102 yards in Week 12 vs. Buffalo last season,<br />

which extended his streak to 59 straight games. Cris Carter<br />

held the previous record of 58 consecutive games as a member of<br />

the Minnesota Vikings from December 12, 1993 to October 5, 1997.<br />

Wayne’s streak dates back to the first game of the 2009 season<br />

when he caught 10 passes for 162 yards vs. Jacksonville.<br />

NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN<br />

Since 2008, the Colts have posted a 14-1 record against divisional<br />

opponents the second time they play them in a season. That mark is<br />

tops in the NFL over the past five seasons. The only loss came in<br />

2011 against the Jaguars.<br />
