• Appeared in a reserve role during the team’s playoff run and totaled 16 carries for 46 yards and three catches for 26 yards.
COLLEGE:
• Was a three-year letterman who started 23-of-37 career games at Connecticut and in his collegiate career, totaled 698 rushes for
3,800 yards and 33 touchdowns while adding 48 receptions for 276 yards and two touchdowns. Also added nine kickoff returns for a
23.3 average and totaled 4,286 all-purpose yards.
• Set school records in rushing attempts and yards while ranking tied for second in rushing touchdowns as a senior.
• Recorded a school-record 17 100-plus-yard rushing games, including a school-record eight consecutive.
• Started 13 games as a junior and was an All-America first-team choice by the NFL Draft Report and The Sporting News while earning
second-team honors by The Associated Press. Became the school’s first first-team All-America selection since the program was elevated
to the Football Bowl Subdivision.
• Was named Big East Conference Player of the Year and Eastern College Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
• His 2,083 rushing yards as a junior led the nation and set school and conference season records. His total carries ranked second in
Big East history. Also led the Big East and ranked sixth in the NCAA with 2,208 all-purpose yards.
• Set a conference season record with 11 100-plus-yard games, which included three 200-plus-yard games.
• Totaled 43 carries for 205 yards and two touchdowns to set the school’s single-game rushing mark by a freshman.
• Holds a degree in exercise science.
PERSONAL:
• Attended Red Bank (N.J.) Catholic High School where he was a team captain and rushed for 2,032 yards and 27 touchdowns as a
senior.
• Was named a first-team all-division, all-county and All-Jersey Shore selection.
• Was a second-team all-state choice.
• Was the recipient of the All-America Scholar Award.
• Lettered six times on the school’s track team.
• Participated in the Colts Books for Youth program to provide backpacks filled with books to foster youth.
• Lends help to several community organizations including Second Helpings, the Humane Society and Riley Hospital for Children.
