• Attended Bettendorf (Iowa) High School and earned all-state and all-conference honors in his final two seasons.
• Was a team captain who set school records for tackles in a game (25), season (197) and career (344). Also totaled 17.0 career sacks.
• Helped his team to a Class 4-A state title as a senior.
• Earned three letters in football, two in wrestling and soccer and one in track and field.
• Helped more than 200 elementary students practice football drills at the Iowa Football Legends Camp.
• Born in Bettendorf, Iowa.
