Dr. Aideen Larke was appointed Clinical Director and Lead Consultant<br />

Radiologist <strong>of</strong> BreastCheck Western Unit in February 2005. Prior to this she<br />

trained as an SpR in General Radiology in Mater Misericordiae, Chelsea &<br />

Westminister, U.K and U. C.H. G. She also trained in paediatric imaging at<br />

Children’s <strong>University</strong> Hospital, Temple Street, Dublin and was a Clinical Fellow<br />

at BreastCheck St. Vincent’s <strong>University</strong> Hospital, Dublin. Dr. Larke has a<br />

specific interest in non-operative diagnosis <strong>of</strong> breast cancer and optimal<br />

multidisciplinary management <strong>of</strong> breast cancer and has extensive<br />

experience in symptomatic and screening mammography.<br />

Peter Britton is a Consultant Radiologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital,<br />

Cambridge, UK and was appointed the Director <strong>of</strong> the Cambridge and<br />

Huntingdon Breast Screening Service in 1990. He qualified from London<br />

<strong>University</strong> in 1980 and after preliminary training in surgery embarked on a<br />

career in Radiology in Cambridge. He is interested in all aspects <strong>of</strong> Breast<br />

Radiology, particularly interventional procedures in the breast and, more<br />

recently, the axilla. Dr Britton has formerly been the Chairman <strong>of</strong> The Royal<br />

College <strong>of</strong> Radiologists Breast Group, Eastern Region Quality Assurance<br />

Breast Radiologist and Chairman <strong>of</strong> the Breast Screening Q. A. Team.<br />
