Truck 20’s Location is a drama-comedy about two
Paramedics whose routine day turns into a strange
and dangerous quest through the underbelly of Detroit.
As a Detroit paramedic, Joe Wells learned how let
things go. It’s the only way to cope. The sick, the
dying, the lonely… That’s every day for Wells and
his partner Maurice, as they bounce from patient to
patient, problem to pain in their ambulance, Truck
20. Joe Wells is burnt out. At 45 years old, after
years of working so hard to let things go, Wells
wonders if anything is worth holding onto.
Today, Wells and Maurice are pulling the notorious
double-shift. The first few hours of the 24-hour
stretch are difficult… A psychiatric patient escapes
their ambulance, and they collect two shooting victims
before breakfast. But when Wells and Maurice
find a treasure on a corpse, they find salvation. For
Wells, it’s a way out of Emergency Medical Servitude;
for Maurice, a new television. But do they
keep it? And whose money is it?
To survive the double-shift, Wells and Maurice need
to figure out what to hold on to, and what to let go.
