As Christmas draws closer, we ask three local venues - a pub, a restaurant and a hotel -
what they will be doing to give their guests a truly memorable, festive experience...

make your restaurant / hotel
feel festive this Christmas?
Frasers beautifully, hand-crafted traditional
Kentish Oak Barn with its wealth of
exposed beams makes for the perfect
place to while away a few hours during
the festive season. The fifteen foot real
Christmas tree which is stylishly decorated
forms the central focus for Christmas.
The array of fairy lights and tea lights
makes the atmosphere extra special.
What size group can you cater for?
We are delighted to welcome parties from
as intimate as a couple to lively parties
of 50. (Prior booking is required.)
do you have any speciality
Christmas dishes / drinks?
Our Christmas menus are skilfully
prepared in our 2 AA Rosette kitchen by
the talented Head Chef Alan Egan. Our
menus are designed utilising the finest
locally sourced ingredients, wherever
possible these are gleaned from our farm.
Our ‘Frasers’ estate breast of wood pigeon,
remoulade, blackberry and port reduction
is a “Festive Favourite”. Our Christmas
puddings were made six months ago
allowing them time to mature and ensure
they are rich and delectable. Frasers
offers an extensive range of wine from
all over the world for our customer’s
enjoyment. Our house recommendations
are nearer to home being sourced from
the nearby Hush Heath and Chapel
Down Estates. Why not enjoy a glass of
Biddenden mulled cider or apple juice?
When will you be putting up your
tree and who will decorate it?
Our Christmas tree will be in the
barn from the beginning of December
to ensure that all our customers
experience the “Frasers Magic”.
What are you wishing for Christmas?
Firstly we wish all our family, friends
and valued customers a healthy and
prosperous Christmas and New Year.
We also wish that our clients, both
old and new, come and experience
our renowned ‘Frasers’ hospitality and
incredible food, whether it is for a
cosy lunch, afternoon tea or supper.

Goudhurst Inn
What will you be
doing to make your
restaurant / hotel feel
festive this Christmas?
We will be decorating a large Christmas
tree and making the conservatory look lovely and festive.
We will be serving mulled wine and festive canapés and
background music will add to the cosy atmosphere.
What size group can you cater for?
We can cater for groups and the maximum we can seat in
the conservatory is 75 but across the whole restaurant 150.
do you have any speciality Christmas dishes / drinks?
We are launching a special sparkling white wine in time for
Christmas ‘Leslies Reserve’ at £6.50 a glass. We also have a
delicious selection of Christmas menus available including a
four course celebrating Christmas Lunch for £65 per person
and £35 for children under 12. Every day from 21 November
we are also offering a festive menu which must be booked in

When will you be putting up your
tree and who will decorate it?
We are putting up our Christmas tree on the same day as
the Wealden Times Midwinter Fair on 21 November and
owner Leslie Balfour-Lynn, whose interior design expertise
gave the Goudhurst Inn, including the bedrooms, its stylish
interior, will also be decorating the inn for Christmas.
What are you wishing for Christmas?
