Frosty Affair...<br />

For the fifth successive year, the open air ice rink is<br />

returning to Royal Tunbridge Wells. It will be open<br />

seven days a week from Friday 20 <strong>November</strong> and<br />

this year we are delighted to announce that the rink<br />

is going to be even bigger, with capacity for 250<br />

skaters, plus special times dedicated to parent and<br />

toddler sessions. Grab your family and friends and<br />

get your skates on! Father Christmas will also be sat<br />

in his cosy log cabin, set in amongst the trees and<br />

snow waiting for friendly families to come and visit.<br />

Creative Composition...<br />

All ages and abilities are welcome to come along to<br />

this yoga and poetry course taking place on Saturday<br />

7 <strong>November</strong> from 9am-1pm at Smallhythe Studio,<br />

Tenterden. Be taken through a simple yoga practice<br />

inspired by the five elements, helping to find greater<br />

balance, peace and stability; no previous experience<br />

necessary! The second part of the course will include lots<br />

of fun, fury and fits of laughter, where you’re given the<br />

opportunity to use these elements again, as inspiration<br />

for some expressive writing. Cost of the course is £25<br />

Drawing Showcase...<br />

Drawing skills will be at the core of this year’s<br />

Cranbrook Art Show with stunning wildlife<br />

paintings by Stephen Message and lively caricatures<br />

by award-winning illustrator Chris Burke. Vibrant<br />

pastels by Emma Barker and striking watercolours by<br />

Andrew Blyth and Paul Fowler alongside jewellery,<br />

print making and ceramics including delicate raku<br />

Festive Finds...<br />

Yet again the beautiful Penshurst Village Hall hosts<br />

the Penshurst Vintage Christmas Fair on Saturday 7<br />

<strong>November</strong>. With a vast selection of vintage beauties,<br />

from fashion and accessories to gifts, kitchenalia,<br />

homeware & so much more; together with live<br />

entertainment and a truly scrumptious pop up tea<br />

parlour from Cherry on the Cake. The farmers’<br />

market is also open in the morning in the grounds<br />

of Penshurst Place. Proceeds from the fair will be<br />

donated to Hospice in the Weald. Entry is £2 per<br />
