TAMARIND
De un árbol mediano y hojas pequeñas
cuelgan gajos de vainas marrones en cuyo
interior se encuentra una pulpa pastosa
agridulce. Además, los tradicionales dulces
y el delicioso y refrescante jugo elaborado
con esta fruta. El tamarindo se ha
convertido en un componente importante
en la cocina fusión.
El tamarindo usualmente no se vende tal y
como se cosecha. Por lo general se le
encuentra en una pasta sin cáscara y
muchas veces sin semilla que hace más
fácil cualquier preparación.
