cultural, and professional perspectives that enable eleventh graders to have a better understanding and criteria to design their
professional and personal life project.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
CONTENT
DIDACTIC STRATEGIES FOR
THE DEVELOPMENT OF
COMPETENCIES (TP/TI)
STRATEGIES AND
EVALUATION CRITERIA
- Interpret university
as a knowledge
village in constant
transformation.
- Identify and
characterize urban
youth cultures in
his/her town as a
base to build social
skills in different
areas.
- Relate their role of
women to other
areas of personal
development, from
university life and a
future insertion into
employment.
- Recognize that time
management in daily
activities, represents
a vital tool for
Week 1
Universities as knowledge communities
(knowledge communities, communicative
skills for the construction of knowledge)
Week 2 and 3
Urban youth culture inside universities
(cultural diversity, urban culture in
Bogotá, youth trends)
Week 4 and 5
University life and the labor life
(my CV, identifying my talents, abilities,
interests and improvement opportunities,
learning how to use job search engines)
Week 5 and 6
Time management for academic
production
(check lists, to do lists, work diaries,
establishing what is important, urgent
and necessary)
We start from the idea that
this seminar, because of its
exploration into personal
character, university life and
career, is a tool that offers
new personal and colective
perceptions of topical issues.
It also has as a principle,
building knowledge through
communication, dissertation,
constant reflection and a
permanent attitude in the
introspective.
The structural contents of this
seminar are not source of
inert information. On the
contrary, social processes are
constantly under construction,
so it is important to bring the
student to the university
Assessment strategies are in
line with the SIEL and lead
towards improving social and
communication skills that
enable the student to start a
transition between Secondary
Education and Higher
Education.
The dynamics of this seminar
do not limit the learners to
receiving information. This
must show a transformation in
world view, consistent with
the development of a
multidimensional being who is
part of a process of personal,
family and social growth.
To achieve these goals we
propose the following:

developing skills that
lead to personal
achievement.
- Incorporate new
strategies and skills
to perform in various
fields of learning.
- Address the
technological tools
as a means to access
freely but
responsibly the
predominant forms of
information and
communication
systems in daily
university life.
- They conceive
themselves as young
citizens of the world,
through the
perception of a selfregulated
profile.
