The results?<br />
There were 730 male invitees—72 percent of all guests—and 285 female invitees on<br />
all the shows, combined.<br />
With 36 percent of his guests being female, O’Reilly came closer to gender parity<br />
than other mainstream cable show hosts.<br />
On Hannity’s show, 35 percent of guests were female.<br />
28 percent of “All In with Chris Hayes” guests were female.<br />
25 percent each of Cooper’s and Maddow’s guests were female.<br />
19 percent of Burnett’s guests were female.<br />
While non-white women comprise roughly 18 percent of the U.S. population, they<br />
were, FAIR reported, “strikingly underrepresented on most shows.”<br />

overwhelmingly male<br />
The number of female commentators and journalists appearing on NBC’s “Meet the<br />
Press” in 2014 exceeded that of all the major Sunday talk shows—though men still accounted<br />
for nearly three-quarters of that show’s guests. American University’s Women<br />
& Politics Institute: As in 2013, 2014 new opinion-makers and analysts on Sunday a.m<br />
shows were overwhelmingly male<br />
The annual “Sunday Morning Monitor” accounting by the Women & Politics Institute,<br />
based at American University’s School of Public Affairs, also found that women<br />
represented:<br />

CBS Face Nation 421 guests 317 men (75%) 104 women (25%)<br />
Fox News Sunday 411 guests 317 men (77%) 94 women (23%)<br />
NBC Meet Press 422 guests 301 men (71%) 121 women (29%)<br />
CNN State Union 366 guests 267 men (73%) 99 women (27%)<br />

Overall, men accounted for roughly 74 percent of guests on these five Sunday morning news<br />
shows. Women were 26 percent.<br />
