American House to Ashaley Botchway Road<br />

Giffard Road (37 Roundabout to Labadi Junction, Accra)<br />

Apedwa–Kyebi–Bunso and<br />

Koforidua – Bunso roads have<br />

all commenced in earnest.<br />

Furthermore, work has started<br />

on the 43.7 km Noyem-Winso-<br />

Amuana-Praso, Akim Sekyere-<br />

Abekoase, Mangoase-Kukua, and<br />

Chia-Brenase-Ofoase roads while<br />

that on the 3.3km Somanya town<br />

roads is progressing.<br />

Western Region<br />

In the Western Region, works on<br />

the Kansaworodo bypass as well<br />

as the 20 km asphalt overlay of<br />

selected roads in Sekondi-Takoradi<br />

is progressing steadily. The following<br />

towns will also benefit from the<br />

asphalt overlay programme: Tarkwa,<br />

Axim and Elubo. Works have started<br />

on the Daboase and Sefwi Wiawso<br />

town roads. Other towns to benefit<br />

from the programme include<br />

Prestea, Asankragua and Enchi.<br />

Work is far advanced on the 110 km<br />

Agona Junction-Elubo, the 94km<br />

Tarkwa-Bogoso Ayamfuri and the 52<br />

km Ayamfuri-Asawinso roads.<br />

The Sefwi-Bekwai-Eshiem,<br />

Sewfi-Wiawso-Akontombra,<br />

Prestea-Samreboi, Benchema-<br />

Oseikojokrom, Juaboso-Bodi and<br />

Akontombra Roads are progressing<br />

steadily. Other major road projects<br />

in the Western Region include<br />

Akontombra–Sefwi–Wiawso,<br />

Daboase–Atieku, Enchi–Dadieso,<br />

Anyinabrim–Sui–Bodi Junction,<br />

Prestea –Samreboi have all started.<br />

Also, work has commenced on<br />

the 51.20 km Edwenase-Atobiase,<br />

Juaboso-Dadieso, and Anto<br />

Dompen-Daboase rural roads. The<br />

construction of 10 km Oil and Gas<br />

Enclave roads along the pipe-line<br />

including the Amazure Bridge is<br />

on-going.<br />

Volta Region<br />

Many road projects have either<br />

been completed or are being<br />

worked on in the Volta Region.<br />

The Eastern Corridor project is<br />

progressing speedily. The Asikuma<br />

Junction-Have, Have-Hohoe-<br />

Jasikan, Dodo-Pepesu to Nkwanta,<br />

Nkwanta-Oti Damanko sections are<br />

under construction. Others include<br />

Kete Krachi to Buya, Ho-Fume,<br />

Kpando Worawora-Dambai, Bame-<br />

Dzolokpuita-Kpedze, Ho-Adidome,<br />

Metrikasa-Havedzi and Gwolokwati-<br />

Wli-Hohoe Roads.<br />

An additional 97.3 km comprising<br />

the Kpando-Alavanyo Kpeme-<br />

Nkonya-Gbi Wegbe, Aveti-Logba<br />

Alakpeti-Anfoega-Akukome-<br />

Aveti, Dalive-Agortage, Dove<br />

(Atitekpo Junction)-Mepe, Dove<br />

Junction-Dove-Aveyime, Dodi<br />

Papaase-Mensahkrom-Asuboi,<br />

Dapaa Jn-Pampawie-Ahamansu,<br />

and Tadzeva-Davego-Agorve<br />

Junction roads are also ongoing.<br />

Furthermore, rehabilitation<br />

of selected roads in the Ho<br />

Municipality including the access<br />

road to the University of Health and<br />

Allied Sciences are ongoing. The<br />

Kpando Town roads are also being<br />

rehabilitated.<br />

The Juapong to Fodzoku to Akuse<br />

Dam road and the Sogakope to<br />

Battor road have been completed.<br />

The Juapong to Abutia to Sokode<br />

road is also ongoing. The Hohoe<br />

Town Roads are also under<br />

construction.<br />

Central Region<br />

Work has started on the Kasoa<br />

Interchange. The scope of works on<br />

the project is as follows:<br />

1 .Construction of three interchanges<br />

on the main Accra-Cape Coast Road<br />

at the following locations:<br />

I. Main Kasoa Traffic Lights<br />

II. Galilee/Iron City to link Iron City<br />

to Amanfrom (without U-turns on<br />

the main road)<br />

III. Universal/CP junction to link<br />

Universal to the Opeikuma Area in<br />

Kasoa<br />

2. Widening of main Accra-Cape
