LISA COLLINS is a fellow with the Korea Chair at CSIS. Prior<br />
to joining CSIS, she worked for seven years as a program<br />
officer at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies in Seoul,<br />
Korea and was a fellow in the Korean Flagship Language<br />
Program at the University of Hawaii and Korea University.<br />
HEATHER A. CONLEY is senior vice president for Europe,<br />
Eurasia, and the Arctic and director of the Europe Program<br />
at CSIS. Previously she served as deputy assistant<br />
secretary of state in the Bureau for European and Eurasian<br />
Affairs in the Department of State, where she was<br />
responsible for U.S. bilateral relations with Northern and<br />
Central Europe. Additionally, she served as the executive<br />
director to the chairman of the American National Red<br />
Cross and was a senior associate with the international<br />
consulting firm Armitage Associates.<br />
JENNIFER G. COOKE is director of the Africa Program at<br />
CSIS. She works on a range of U.S.-Africa policy issues,<br />
including security, health, conflict, and democratization.<br />
She has written numerous reports, articles, and<br />
commentaries for U.S. and international publications.<br />
Previously, she worked for the House Foreign Affairs<br />
Subcommittee on Africa, as well as for the National<br />
Academy of Sciences in its Office of News and Public<br />
Information and its Committee on Human Rights.<br />
ANTHONY CORDESMAN holds the Arleigh A. Burke<br />
Chair in Strategy at CSIS. He is a recipient of the Department<br />
of Defense Distinguished Service Medal and has<br />
held positions in the Departments of Defense, Energy,<br />
and State, and at NATO.<br />
MELISSA G. DALTON is a fellow and the chief of staff of<br />
the CSIS International Security Program. Prior to joining<br />
CSIS, she served as a senior policy adviser, the special<br />
assistant to the under secretary of defense for policy,<br />
and as an intelligence analyst at the U.S. Department of<br />
Defense. She was a 2014-2015 Council on Foreign Relations<br />
international affairs fellow.<br />
KIMBERLY FLOWERS is director of the CSIS Global<br />
Food Security Project. Prior to joining CSIS in 2015, Ms.<br />
Flowers was the communications director for Fintrac,<br />
an international development company focusing on<br />
hunger eradication and poverty alleviation through<br />
agricultural solutions. From 2005 to 2011, she worked<br />
for the U.S. Agency for International Development and<br />
began her international development career as a Peace<br />
Corps volunteer in Bulgaria.<br />
MATTHEW FUNAIOLE is a fellow with the China Power<br />
Project at CSIS. Dr. Funaiole joined CSIS after finishing<br />
his doctoral research at the University of Saint<br />
Andrews. His research focuses on power relationships<br />
and alliance structures in the Asia-Pacific. He previously<br />
worked on research projects at the University of Cambridge<br />
and Harvard University.<br />
BONNIE S. GLASER is a senior adviser for Asia and the<br />
director of the China Power Project at CSIS. Ms. Glaser<br />
was a senior adviser with the Freeman Chair in China<br />
Studies (2009 to mid-2015) and was a senior associate<br />
in the CSIS International Security Program (2003 to<br />
2008). Prior to joining CSIS, she served as a consultant<br />
for various U.S. government offices, including the Departments<br />
of Defense and State.<br />
MATTHEW P. GOODMAN holds the William E. Simon<br />
Chair in Political Economy at CSIS. Previously, he served<br />
as director for international economics on the National<br />
Security Council staff, working on the G-20, APEC, and<br />
other forums. Before joining the White House, Goodman<br />
was senior adviser to the undersecretary for economic<br />
affairs at the U.S. Department of State. He has also<br />
worked at Albright Stonebridge Group, Goldman Sachs,<br />
and the U.S. Treasury Department.<br />
