bASiC infOrMAtiOn<br />
• <strong>The</strong> Canberra <strong>and</strong> Calvary Hospitals are the<br />
home hospitals for this network, all interns<br />
will have rotations at <strong>The</strong> Canberra Hospital.<br />
• Option to spend one or two terms of PGY2<br />
rurally at Goulburn or Bega<br />

• TCH has approximately 606 beds <strong>and</strong><br />
busy outpatient clinics. It is a major trauma<br />
<strong>and</strong> teaching hospital, associated with the<br />
<strong>Australian</strong> National University (ANU), <strong>and</strong><br />
covers many specialties.<br />
• Calvary Hospital is a 162 bed public teaching<br />
hospital also associated with the ANU.<br />

• Strong research links with the ANU <strong>and</strong> its<br />
John Curtin School of <strong>Medical</strong> Research.<br />
• Nationally recognized, dedicated teaching<br />
program.<br />
• Fully equipped medical library at TCH<br />
campus with online library <strong>and</strong> PDA service.<br />
• Ability to undertake PGY2 terms rurally with<br />
great teaching <strong>and</strong> clinical exposure.<br />
• Protected clinical teaching time <strong>and</strong> these<br />
sessions are recorded so that interns placed<br />
at rural site are still able to access them.<br />

topics such as after-hours ward cover are<br />
