• Nepean Hospital is a 480 bed principal<br />
referral hospital <strong>and</strong> is located at the base of<br />
the Blue Mountains in Penrith NSW, Australia.<br />
• <strong>The</strong>re is easy access by car or public<br />
transport to Sydney City <strong>and</strong> also to all the<br />
attractions of the Blue Mountains National<br />
Park, such as the Three Sisters the world<br />
famous Jenolan Caves.<br />

• Previous PGY1s have rated this hospital as<br />
the most doctor friendly allocation centre.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Nepean Hospital is an innovative <strong>and</strong><br />
exciting place to work <strong>and</strong> learn.<br />
• Within the year of supervised training there<br />
is a wide scope of opportunities with regard<br />
to term allocations, practical experience <strong>and</strong><br />
skills enhancement.<br />
• University clinics, Gr<strong>and</strong> Rounds, weekly<br />
clinical meetings <strong>and</strong> tutorials provide<br />
education, training <strong>and</strong> professional<br />
development opportunities.<br />
• <strong>The</strong>re is also an active residents’ social club,<br />
secure car parking, oncall rooms, limited<br />
hospital accommodation, child minding <strong>and</strong><br />
a library.<br />
• JMOs are invited to apply for sponsorship<br />
to attend conferences <strong>and</strong> seminars outside<br />
hospital. JMOs are encouraged to have input<br />
