The lowest <strong>of</strong> the four worlds, Assiah is known as the realm <strong>of</strong> effects. It is the world <strong>of</strong> the body and<br />
the senses, This is the realm <strong>of</strong> the physical universe and its creatures.<br />
Only one sphere belongs to this realm and that is Malkuth.<br />
The material, dualistic-seeming world <strong>of</strong> matter and energy<br />
Nefesh, the 'animal soul', life-force, or anima<br />
The material world as it appears<br />
Element: Earth<br />
The continual flow <strong>of</strong> an immanent lower light ("Mimalei Kol Olmin"), the light that "fills all worlds"<br />
is the creating force in each descending world that itself continually brings into being from nothing,<br />
everything in that level <strong>of</strong> existence. It is this light that undergoes the concealments and contractions as<br />
it descends downward to create the next level, and adapts itself to the capacity <strong>of</strong> each created being on<br />
each level.<br />
Consequently, all the worlds are dependent for their continual existence on the flow <strong>of</strong> Divinity<br />
they constantly receive from the Divine Will to create them. Creation is continuous.<br />
All the worlds are interpenetrating and one within the other each forming part <strong>of</strong> the other – World<br />
within World. Person within Person. The perfect state is when all the parts each with its own form <strong>of</strong><br />
life, energy and function work in synchronism according to the purpose assigned to them. When this is<br />
violated the system breaks down and redemption is needed. This is what Sin is. It disrupts the<br />
function <strong>of</strong> the Cosmic Creation and all the beings in it.<br />
