The Olive Terrace has a beautiful dining
room with lovely art on the walls and beautiful
tablescapes which include fresh flowers
and white napkins.
However, the real star of the show is the
food. I can’t wait to go back! R
The elegant tablescapes inside the restaurant offer
room.
The exterior of the olive Terrace Bar & Grill features
an olive tree and a water feature.
Restaurant Review
continued from page 23
broiled ground beef skewers, onion, sumac,
saffron, blistered Roma tomato and saffron
basmati rice.
The beef was seasoned perfectly and the
entire platter was wonderfully tasty. I asked
the waiter for a side of Tzatziki sauce and it
was swiftly fetched.
Even the bread plate is remarkable at the
Olive Terrace. Warm, crunchy, chewy bread
with a trio of toppings, butter, olive tapenade
(my favorite) and olive oil and balsamic is a
great way to start any meal.
The lunch menu also offers soups and salads,
artesian sandwiches, seafood, pasta and
entrée “favorites.”
The dinner menu drops the artesian sandwiches
and offers a section of
chicken/beef/lamp options. A few of the
highlights (remember I did say the menu was
eclectic) include Grilled Lamb Loin Chops
($23.95) with mint garlic butter, roasted vegetables
and basmati rice; Chicken Picatta
($17.95) sautéed chicken scaloppini with
garlic, lemon caper sauce, baked vegetable
bouquet and choice of potato or rice; Skirt
Steak Sheri ($23.95) marinated grilled Angus
skirt steak with lentil parmesan wild rice,
whole grain mustard port wine sauce and
roasted vegetables; Beef Stroganoff ($23.95)
beef tenderloin with sautéed sweet onions,
mushrooms, fettuccine brown crème friache
sauce and shoestring crisp potatoes; Short
Rib Herb Stew “Ghormeh Sabzi” ($15.95)
fenugreek, spinach, cilantro, shallots, parsley,
red kidney beans and saffron basmati rice
and Classic Baked Chicken Parmesan
($17.95) herb breaded chicken filet with
marinara sauce, parmesan cheese, mozzarella
cheese, roasted garlic, linguine and
garlic toast.
Clearly this was a menu assembled by
someone who loves food. It is exactly the kind
of menu I would create if I opened a restaurant.
Influences of Mediterranean, Italian,
The complimentary bread basket includes a trio of
Cioppino ($25.95) fresh clams, shrimp,
calamari, assorted fish, mussels in a hearty
aromatic herbed tomato fish broth; French
