The mandate of the Office is to review decisions and actions of government under the Freedom of Information and Protection<br />

of Privacy Act, of local authorities under the Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and health<br />

information trustees under the Health Information Protection Act. The Office provides that oversight for the purpose of<br />

ensuring that Saskatchewan residents enjoy the full measure of their “information rights” guaranteed by those statutes. Those<br />

information rights include the right to access public records and the right to have privacy protected.<br />
