Custody, Supervision and Rehabilitation Services (JU06)<br />
Provides correctional services, including evidence-based programs to reduce recidivism, to youth<br />
and adult offenders in both Custody Services and Community Corrections. It provides<br />
institutionally-based correctional services including cultural, health and rehabilitative programs. It<br />
operates pre-employment trades training and education within the correctional centres to assist in<br />
the reintegration of offenders. It also provides community-based correctional programs, including<br />
supervision of offenders on court orders, rehabilitation programs and administration of<br />
alternatives to incarceration programs for both adults and youth in conflict with the law.<br />

Policing (JU09)<br />
Provides for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) as the provincial police service and<br />
provides for integrated enforcement programs involving the RCMP and municipal police services.<br />
It regulates the private security industry and provides for other community safety programs,<br />
including Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods, Witness Protection and Civil Forfeiture<br />
Proceeds of Crime. It also provides intelligence and investigation services for the Ministry.<br />
