from Aldi, wine, chocolates and a cash prize donated by
Londis at Newhey and numerous bottles of wine and
chocolates kindly donated by Milnrow Motor Company, PTG
Holroyd, Tesco and the Co-operative Food. Donated prizes
also included cakes from Mrs Barbers Bakery, gift vouchers
from Gordon Riggs Garden Centre and Bistro, Abbey Rose
Holistic Therapies, Do Dig Doggy, Faithful Friends, Treat
Yourself Boutique, a platter of sandwiches from Subway.
The committee would like to thank all who took part in the
parade and also those who attended the park. We are
always amazed by the effort put in to the costumes and
float decoration and we are immensely grateful for their
participation.
The committee would like to thank Graham Poole Transport, Minky
in Rochdale, M J May Transport and The Bobbin for providing
vehicles and drivers for the event. Thanks are offered to All about
Flowers, House of Flowers, The Beauty Spot and PW Greenhalgh
for their contribution to the carnival queens float. We would also
like to thank Milnrow Bowling Club for re arranging their fixture
list and Kenny Smith for his invaluable assistance at the park.
Finally, the carnival committee would like to extend their
gratitude to all who watched the parade and attended the
summer fete as it would be nothing without the support of the
local community. The date for next year's carnival will be set in
the next couple of weeks and will be posted on the carnival
