A Craft <strong>and</strong> Vendor show was held in the greenhouses at Ginder Greenhouse<br />
<strong>and</strong> Garden Center on Saturday, <strong>September</strong> 17th. <strong>The</strong> event included specials<br />
<strong>and</strong> giveaways. Ginder Greenhouse is located at 558 Lake Minsi Drive in<br />

<strong>The</strong> Tim Roper Memorial<br />
Scholarship Golf Tournament Results<br />
Eighty golfers competed in the Tim Roper Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament<br />
that was held at Sawmill Golf Course on <strong>September</strong> 10.<br />
<strong>The</strong> foursome of Jay Petrella, Joe Volkert Mark Lysek <strong>and</strong> Charlie Waters won<br />
the first flight with a score of 14 under par.<br />
<strong>The</strong> winners of the second flight at 10 under were: Aaron Wilz, Tyler Wilz,<br />
Matthew Knauss <strong>and</strong> Craig Knauss.<br />
<strong>The</strong> third flight winners were Ron Ealey, Rob Ealey, Steve Pfeiffer <strong>and</strong> Allen<br />
Ruch at 5 under par.<br />
Longest drive winners were: Joe Calantoni for seniors, Robert Lawrie for men<br />
<strong>and</strong> Alison Overdorf for women. Bill Huddy won closest to the pin for seniors<br />
at 2 feet 10 inches. Grace Fornicola at 16 feet won for the women <strong>and</strong> Robert<br />
Lawrie at 10 feet 7 inches won for the men.<br />
<strong>The</strong> tournament is held each year to raise money in Tim’s memory to fund<br />
a $3000 scholarship for a graduating Pen Argyl student. This year’s winning<br />
student was Max Policelli, son of Leonard <strong>and</strong> Patricia Policelli. Max is majoring<br />
in Plastics Engineering at the Penn State University. Max was an honor student<br />
at Pen Argyl High School, a member of the Argyle chapter of the National Honor<br />
Society, an Eagle Scout, a member of the principal’s 90% club <strong>and</strong> a member<br />
of the Scholastic Scrimmage team. He was also involved in many community<br />
volunteer activities including serving as a volunteer at the Blue Mountain Public<br />
Library <strong>and</strong> Moravian Hall Square.<br />
