NCC Monroe to Hold Regional College Fair
Representatives from more than 80 colleges, universities and technical schools
will be at Northampton Community College’s Monroe Campus, 2411 Route 715,
Tannersville, on Wednesday, September 28, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. to meet with
high school students, their parents, transfer students, and adults interested in
continuing their educations. The event will be held in the Pocono Hall gymnasium.
The fair is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Association for College Admissions
Counseling.

NCC's Mid-Fall Start Classes Beginning Soon
Northampton Community College’s online mid-fall delayed start courses allow
students to pick up needed credits or take a full-time course load in the Fall
2016 semester. NCC offers the mid-fall courses from October 3 through December
10 (final exams December 12-17) in a variety of disciplines.
Many of the classes available are Online Learning courses, including art, business,
college success, computers, early childhood education, English, geography,
history, math, office administration, physical education, philosophy, political
science, psychology, sociology and speech communication. On-campus classes
include computers, English, psychology, sociology and speech.
Registration options for Mid-Fall classes include:

Casino Training Program Info Session at NCC
Northampton Community College will hold an information session for its
Casino Training Program on Wednesday, October 5, from 6-8 p.m. in the Fowler
Family Southside Center, Room 621. The interactive session will provide the information
you need to launch a successful career in one of the fastest growing
industries in Pennsylvania. A representative from the Sands Casino Resort will
also be in attendance to talk about current table game dealer job opportunities.
Classes begin on October 31, and morning and evening training classes are

NCC Offers Community Health Worker Training Program
Northampton Community College will offer a course in Community Health Worker
Training, geared toward those who want to work in either a community-based
or inpatient setting as a community health worker. Topics covered include the
role of the community health worker, ethics and professional skills, teamwork
and communication, documentation and assessment procedures, chronic disease
overview, accessibility to health care services, and care coordination and
system navigation. The course will be offered at NCC’s Fowler Campus in Bethlehem
on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 27th-Dec. 20th, from 9:00am to
1:00pm, and at the Monroe Campus in Tannersville on Mondays and Wednesdays,
Sept. 26th-Dec. 19th, from 9:00am to 1:00pm. For more information

Christmas Assistance Applications
The Pen Aryl Salvation Army announces sign-up dates and times for
Christmas assistance applications: October 18th – October 21st; 9:00am
– 12:00pm and 1:00pm-3:00pm, November 11th: 9:00am – 12:00pm and
1:00pm-3:00pm and (5:00pm – 7:00pm by appointment only). December 2nd:
9:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 3:00pm.
***You must bring a current PA driver’s license or photo ID for yourself and an
original birth certificate for each child in your household.
