NCC Monroe to Hold Regional College Fair<br />
Representatives from more than 80 colleges, universities <strong>and</strong> technical schools<br />
will be at Northampton Community College’s Monroe Campus, 2411 Route 715,<br />
Tannersville, on Wednesday, <strong>September</strong> 28, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. to meet with<br />
high school students, their parents, transfer students, <strong>and</strong> adults interested in<br />
continuing their educations. <strong>The</strong> event will be held in the Pocono Hall gymnasium.<br />
<strong>The</strong> fair is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Association for College Admissions<br />
Counseling.<br />

NCC's Mid-Fall Start Classes Beginning Soon<br />
Northampton Community College’s online mid-fall delayed start courses allow<br />
students to pick up needed credits or take a full-time course load in the Fall<br />
<strong>2016</strong> semester. NCC offers the mid-fall courses from October 3 through December<br />
10 (final exams December 12-17) in a variety of disciplines.<br />
Many of the classes available are Online Learning courses, including art, business,<br />
college success, computers, early childhood education, English, geography,<br />
history, math, office administration, physical education, philosophy, political<br />
science, psychology, sociology <strong>and</strong> speech communication. On-campus classes<br />
include computers, English, psychology, sociology <strong>and</strong> speech.<br />

Casino Training Program Info Session at NCC<br />
Northampton Community College will hold an information session for its<br />
Casino Training Program on Wednesday, October 5, from 6-8 p.m. in the Fowler<br />
Family Southside Center, Room 621. <strong>The</strong> interactive session will provide the information<br />
you need to launch a successful career in one of the fastest growing<br />
industries in Pennsylvania. A representative from the S<strong>and</strong>s Casino Resort will<br />
also be in attendance to talk about current table game dealer job opportunities.<br />
Classes begin on October 31, <strong>and</strong> morning <strong>and</strong> evening training classes are<br />

NCC Offers Community Health Worker Training Program<br />
Northampton Community College will offer a course in Community Health Worker<br />
Training, geared toward those who want to work in either a community-based<br />
or inpatient setting as a community health worker. Topics covered include the<br />
role of the community health worker, ethics <strong>and</strong> professional skills, teamwork<br />
<strong>and</strong> communication, documentation <strong>and</strong> assessment procedures, chronic disease<br />
overview, accessibility to health care services, <strong>and</strong> care coordination <strong>and</strong><br />
system navigation. <strong>The</strong> course will be offered at NCC’s Fowler Campus in Bethlehem<br />
on Tuesdays <strong>and</strong> Thursdays, Sept. 27th-Dec. 20th, from 9:00am to<br />
1:00pm, <strong>and</strong> at the Monroe Campus in Tannersville on Mondays <strong>and</strong> Wednesdays,<br />

Christmas assistance applications: October 18th – October 21st; 9:00am<br />
– 12:00pm <strong>and</strong> 1:00pm-3:00pm, November 11th: 9:00am – 12:00pm <strong>and</strong><br />
1:00pm-3:00pm <strong>and</strong> (5:00pm – 7:00pm by appointment only). December 2nd:<br />
9:00am – 12:00pm <strong>and</strong> 1:00pm – 3:00pm.<br />
