JAMIE SPENCER<br />

VICE PRESIDENT, NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT<br />

AND ASSISTANT TO THE CHAIRMAN<br />

Jamie Spencer helped launch the Minnesota Wild in 1997. As one of the founding staff members,<br />

he was largely responsible for cultivating a fan base and reputation for customer service that is<br />

one of the most revered in sports. Year after year, the Wild and Xcel Energy Center are ranked at<br />

the top of ESPN The Magazine’s Ultimate Standings for “Best Stadium Experience.”<br />

Today, Spencer serves as Vice President of New Business Development and Assistant to the<br />

Chairman, exploring and spearheading new endeavors for the organization. In 2011, he joined<br />

the Tampa Bay Lightning as Executive Vice President of Sales where he was a force behind<br />

tripling the season ticket holder base and more than doubling overall ticket revenue and retail<br />

sales. He returned to the Wild in July 2014, inspired to continue exploring ways to create a greater State of Hockey.<br />

A hockey player himself, Spencer captained the Wisconsin Badgers (1991-95) which won the WCHA Final Five Championship<br />

his senior season. He continues to use his competitive spirit for good, championing efforts to raise funds for causes dear to his<br />

heart – the Special Olympics and children fighting cancer.<br />

Spencer and his wife, Kindra, have three children, Emelia, Levi and Scarlet. The family resides in Woodbury.<br />

MITCH HELGERSON<br />

VICE PRESIDENT, SALES AND<br />

MARKETING INTELLIGENCE<br />

Mitch Helgerson serves as Vice President, Sales and Marketing Intelligence and is in his 11th<br />

season with the Wild. In his current position, he oversees all ticket sales efforts, including season<br />

tickets, packages, group and single game tickets for the Wild hockey club. Helgerson also<br />

leads the marketing intelligence efforts for the Wild, managing the collection, organization and<br />

analysis of information to assist in cross-functional data-driven decision making across the<br />

organization.<br />

Helgerson previously held the positions of Director of Finance and Senior Director, Marketing<br />

Intelligence and Special Projects. His duties included organizational budgeting, ad-hoc financial<br />

projects and NHL HRR preparation, interpretation and analysis.<br />

Prior to his time with the Wild, Helgerson was with Ecolab, Inc. in a variety of financial roles.<br />

A native of Alexandria, Minn., Helgerson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks<br />

and an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.<br />

He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children, Henry and Emma. The family resides in Lake Elmo.<br />

CARIN ANDERSON<br />

VICE PRESIDENT, CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS<br />

AND RETAIL MANAGEMENT<br />

Carin Anderson is in her eighth season as Vice President, Corporate Partnerships and Retail<br />

Management and 20th year overall with the Wild. An employee since July of 1997, she is one of<br />

the organization’s longest tenured employees. She oversees the development of all the team’s<br />

corporate partnerships, premium suites and loge sales and retail operations.<br />

Anderson previously held the positions of Director of Corporate Services and Senior Director,<br />

Corporate Partnerships and Retail Operations. Her duties included assisting in corporate partner<br />

development and managing the service and fulfillment of all partnership commitments.<br />

Anderson is a member of the American Lung Association Local Leadership Board including the Women’s Cabinet and serves as<br />

Vice President of the A.C.E.S Board of Directors.<br />

Prior to her time with the Wild, Anderson spent six years with the University of Minnesota’s Men’s Athletic Department as a<br />

Marketing Manager.<br />

A native of North Branch, Minn., Anderson received a business degree with an emphasis in finance from the University of<br />

Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management in 1991.<br />

She and her husband, Brent, have two sons, Eli and Owen. The family resides in Hugo.<br />

JIM IBISTER<br />

VICE PRESIDENT, FACILITY ADMINISTRATION/<br />

GENERAL MANAGER, SAINT PAUL RIVERCENTRE<br />

As Vice President of Facility Administration for the Minnesota Wild and General Manager of the<br />

Saint Paul RiverCentre, which includes The Legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium, Jim Ibister is<br />

responsible for overall operations and campus-wide Information Technology for Saint Paul Arena<br />

Company, a subsidiary of Minnesota Sports & Entertainment.<br />

A resourceful and innovative leader, Ibister has guided massive projects like Xcel Energy Center’s<br />

total technology renovation, which includes the new center-hung scoreboard and a versatile<br />

new video and digital content distribution system. Under his guidance, Xcel Energy Center and<br />

Saint Paul RiverCentre transformed its operations to become an award-winning, internationally-recognized<br />

model of sustainability.<br />

He’s passionate about creating a better experience than anywhere else, and the results are evident in RiverCentre client satisfaction<br />

surveys, incredible retention rates and Xcel Energy Center’s consistent rating as one of the best stadium experiences<br />

in sports and entertainment.<br />

Ibister honed his operational prowess at Saint Paul Civic Center and later, at the Mayo Civic Center in Rocherster, Minn., where<br />

he was Executive Director from 1996-2000 before joining MSE. He translates his love of sports and the theater to the office,<br />

where he believes success is critical to taking responsible risks, pushing past preconceived notions, and having fun along<br />

the way.<br />

He and his wife, Molly, have a daughter, Ellen, and a son, Carter. The family resides in Roseville.<br />
