BEN RESNICK<br />
MANAGER OF HOCKEY ADMINISTRATION<br />
Ben Resnick is in his fifth season in the Minnesota Wild hockey operations department. He<br />
helps support the day-to-day operations of the team including data analysis, compliance and<br />
research.<br />
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Resnick received a master’s degree in Economics from the University<br />
of Pennsylvania in 2006 and graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University with a dual<br />
degree in Broadcast Journalism and Economics in 2005.<br />
Resnick resides in Saint Paul.<br />

LEAD HOCKEY RESEARCHER<br />
Andrew Thomas was named Lead Hockey Researcher for the Minnesota Wild on Jan. 26, 2016. He<br />
is responsible for data collection and interpretation for the organization.<br />
A native of Scarborough, Ont., Thomas co-founded www.war-on-ice.com, an advanced hockey<br />
stats website that includes traditional and modern hockey statistical summaries, graphics,<br />
analyses, contracts and transactions in August of 2014. He served as an Associate Professor of<br />
Data Science at the University of Florida (2015) and a Visiting Assistant Professor of Statistics<br />
at Carnegie Mellon University (2009-14) prior to joining the Wild. Thomas received a PhD in<br />
Statistics from Harvard University in 2009 and graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of<br />
Technology with a bachelor’s degree in physics in 2004.<br />

Alexandra Mandrycky was named Hockey Operations Analyst by the Minnesota Wild on Jan. 26,<br />
2016. She is responsible for data collection and interpretation for the organization and works<br />
closely with Andrew C. Thomas, Ben Resnick and Shep Harder in the hockey operations department.<br />
A native of Atlanta, Ga., Mandrycky is a co-founder of www.war-on-ice.com, an advanced hockey<br />
stats website that includes traditional and modern hockey statistical summaries, graphics,<br />
analyses, contracts and transactions and served as a systems and operations consultant before<br />
joining the Wild. She graduated from Georgia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering,<br />
with Highest Honor in 2013.<br />
