International Showjumper; Eoin
Gallagher of Gallagher Show
Jumping formerly Gallagher Sports Horses (@GallagherHorses or
/ GallagherShowJumping)
Eoin’s business is structured around producing both their own and
client’s horses for show jumping competitions and sales. Eoin is
also busy traveling across England and Europe both competing and
coaching other riders. Their newest venture is to begin breeding from
Eoin’s favourite mare who finished her career with a run of results at
CSI*** shows due to being injured.
Eoin’s first event as Agrigems brand ambassador was appropriately
at The Lincolnshire Show. ‘My new partnership with Agrigem really
excites me. I am always highly conscious of the nutrition needed for
competition horses and the management advice from Agrigem will be
essential in the future.
Our grass leys are managed throughout the year to keep them weed
free and the grass is carefully chosen to supply the right balance of
fibre and sugars.’

Quorn chairman retires
At the Quorn hunt
Puppy Show held at
their Kirby Bellars
kennels on 17 June, a
presentation was made
to retiring chairman
Alan Schroeder by
senior joint-master,
Joss Hanbury. Since
2000 until the end of
the 2015/6 season,
Alan served first as
vice chairman and
then as chairman.
Alan, who lives near
Burton-on-the-Wolds, is still a
regular mounted follower of the
hunt.

He was presented with a magnificent bronze figure of
a whipper-in and a hound made by distinguished local
sculptor, Juliet Cursham. Now living in Wymondham, Juliet
is also a long-standing mounted follower of the Quorn.
Over 100 invited guests attended the annual Puppy Show
on a rare hot and sunny day at the immaculate hunt
kennels where hounds were shown by huntsman, Peter
Collins. The winning bitch was Heather, a lemon and white
hound, walked by recently retired hunt master, Kim Turner.
The winning dog was Mouser by stallion hound Magnum
from the Grove & Rufford and walked by Miss G Fielding.
We are all saddened
to learn of the death
of Hilary Green, who
recently passed away after
a brave battle against
cancer. Hilary was a
wonderful lady, always
full of life and full of
smiles. Hilary’s natural
ability and her keen eye
for her horses allowed her
to enjoy many successes
in the show ring. She will
be greatly missed.

Trailblazers Showing &
Working Hunter 2017
Trailblazers are increasing the number of showing
classes at the Championship Finals and qualifiers
have now begun for the 2017 SEIB Trailblazers
Championship Finals. A list of qualifier dates and
venues, as well as comprehensive details on the
