Trudy Norman has recently completed her doctoral work at the Centre for Addictions Research, University<br />

of Victoria, focusing specifically on homelessness. Her research interests currently center on the impact of<br />

unequal power relations on various aspects of social inclusion as well as activism and resistance by people<br />

with experience of homelessness.<br />

Bernadette (Bernie) Pauly<br />

Centre for Addictions Research of BC, University of Victoria, Canada<br />

Bernie Pauly is an Associate Professor in School of Nursing and Scientist at the Centre for Addictions<br />

Research of BC at the University of Victoria. She is a research collaborator with the Greater Victoria<br />

Coalition to End Homelessness. Her research focuses on health equity, homelessness, and substance<br />

use and the implementation of interventions that promote health equity in public health services and<br />

community responses to homelessness and substance use.<br />
