Wow -- late April/early<br />
May was a busy time for<br />
the Maverick Region!<br />
So busy that I only have room for<br />
half of my normal column. Hey,<br />
what’s that cheering sound?<br />
But the busy part of the season<br />
isn’t over yet. Check out the ads in<br />
this issue: There is a one-day Drivers’ Ed at Eagles<br />
Canyon Raceway on <strong>June</strong> 1, followed by the Autos<br />
in the Park Concours at the Cooper Aerobics Center<br />
on <strong>June</strong> 2, put on by our own Jack Griffin.<br />
<strong>June</strong> 8 features a Summer Kick-Off Picnic, with an<br />
optional Rally starting at The Ballpark in Arlington<br />
and ending up with the rest of the picnickers<br />
in Cedar Hill State Park. Our fourth Autocross<br />
of the year takes place on <strong>June</strong> 16 at Dallas Raceway<br />
in Crandall. And don’t forget our monthly<br />
lunches and Happy Hour social festivities.<br />
At the end of <strong>June</strong> is the Porsche Parade in Traverse<br />
City, Michigan! And finally, after all that, we take a<br />
break from the heat for a couple months. Read on!<br />
