Autos in the Park: Mavericks at Dallas’ Premier Concours d’Elegance

Celebrating its eighth annual
car show, Autos in
the Park 2013 took place
Sunday, June 2, and proved to be
another spectacular Concours in
its signature distinctive style and
relaxing setting amidst the shading
trees, fountains, and breezes
at the Cooper Aerobics Center in North Dallas.
For this primarily earlier-model event, much time,
effort, and care is invested by the participants
preparing their cars for display and competitionby-category.
Maverick three-year member, and this
year’s winner in the 997 category, Jason Morski,
said he got his “Porsche-itis” from event founder
and Region Concours Co-Chair Jack Griffin.
Here is the list of awards in the Porsche categories,
including winners and year models. The judging
criteria is People’s Choice voting-by-ballot
based on car uniqueness and condition.

Autos in the Park stages a fun opportunity to meet
new folks (and see old friends) of like-minded interests
related to high-performance motorcars, to facilitate
community, and to share some of the great stories
that go along with the cars, their owners, and how
the cars came to acquire us! This event benefits the
Scottish Rite Hospital and the Cooper Institute.
Well, that about covers unbridled admiration and waxing
eloquent for this exceptional exhibit . . . now we get
to drive!
