Private/Semi-Private Swim Classes

MEMBER: $120/4 classes
COMMUNITY: $140/4 classes
Individualized swim instruction for all levels. Fee
includes four, 30 minutes lessons. Semi-private
lessons available as well. Up to four participants of
similar swim ability, with an additional fee of $25
dollars per extra swimmer. To schedule a private or
semi-private lesson, please contact the Aquatic
Manager.

Swim Lesson Instructor (16+ Years)

Family/Individual/Community $200
This course provides participants with the basic
knowledge and skills to teach YMCA swim lessons
to parent-child pairs, preschoolers, youth and
adults. It includes both land and pool sessions,
lesson planning, teaching methodology, class
organization, class components and skills for
the YMCA progressive program. The course also
covers the Y’s expectations for instructors and
outlines their responsibilities for teaching YMCA
Aquatics classes that are student centered,
values oriented and safe and effective in teaching
aquatic skills.
Prerequisites are certifications in the following:
CPR/AED, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen. Must
be 16 years or older. Some pre-course work will
be assigned. Registration for the course must
be completed by making an appointment with
