Individualized swim instruction for all levels. Fee<br />

includes four, 30 minutes lessons. Semi-private<br />

lessons available as well. Up to four participants of<br />

similar swim ability, with an additional fee of $25<br />

dollars per extra swimmer. To schedule a private or<br />

semi-private lesson, please contact the Aquatic<br />

Manager.<br />

Swim Lesson Instructor (16+ Years)<br />

Pool<br />

Family/Individual/Community $200<br />

This course provides participants with the basic<br />

knowledge and skills to teach YMCA swim lessons<br />

to parent-child pairs, preschoolers, youth and<br />

adults. It includes both land and pool sessions,<br />

lesson planning, teaching methodology, class<br />

organization, class components and skills for<br />

the YMCA progressive program. The course also<br />

covers the Y’s expectations for instructors and<br />

outlines their responsibilities for teaching YMCA<br />

Aquatics classes that are student centered,<br />

values oriented and safe and effective in teaching<br />

aquatic skills.<br />

Prerequisites are certifications in the following:<br />

CPR/AED, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen. Must<br />

be 16 years or older. Some pre-course work will<br />

be assigned. Registration for the course must<br />

be completed by making an appointment with<br />
