Congressman
Ted Deutch
(D-FL 21 st District)
On Memorial Day, we pay
tribute to the amazing men
and women who paid the
ultimate sacrifice on behalf of
the security of our nation and
the defense of our American
values. We may never be able
to repay that debt, but as a community and as a nation it is
our duty to honor them and never stop trying.
Throughout our history, the men and women of our
armed forces have done everything asked of them with
tremendous courage and determination. While we honor
them as heroes, let’s also be reminded that they are so
much more to the millions of Americans across the country
that cherish them as parents, sons and daughters, friends
and neighbors. This Memorial Day, as we stand with our
military families in remembrance of the fallen, we must
recommit ourselves to working together each and every day
to be a nation worthy of their sacrifice.
One of my greatest honors as a member of Congress is to
be representing and advocating for the more than 60,000
veterans who call Florida’s 21st District home. As their
congressman, I assist veterans throughout the district by
communicating with the Department of Veterans Affairs with
scheduling requests at the local VA hospital or outpatient
clinics, following up on the status of applications for service
connected benefits, widow’s benefits, or assisting them in
seeking an increase in their monthly benefits.
This month, I was able to assist a veteran from Margate
who was granted aid and attendance benefits and another
from Lake Worth who received widow’s benefits from
Veterans Affairs.
My staff and I are committed to providing the highest
level of service we can to our veterans and their families,
as they have given and continue to give so much of
themselves on our behalf.
If you are a veteran who is in need of assistance, please
contact my office. And, on behalf of all of us as a
grateful nation, we thank our veterans and their families
for all they do. P
Please feel free to call my office (954-255-8336 or 561-470-
5440 or 202-225-3001) should you have questions or concerns.
