HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY
Atlantis Academy was established in Miami in 1976 as an
innovative school for students who need a personalized program.
The school emphasizes the importance of excellent parent/
teacher/student relationships, the goal of which is to form a
close working relationship between the family and the school.
Through open communication between parents, faculty, and the
administration, parents regularly participate in developing and
forming the best method to achieve the student’s individual
goals as well as the goals of the school.
OUR PROGRAM
Atlantis Academy has a low student-to-teacher ratio that greatly
facilitates the learning process. Kindergaten-through-twelfth-grade
groups are designed for students who function on varying grade
and academic levels. Our core curriculum is reading, math,
language arts, social studies, and science. Additional subject
areas may include art, computers, physical education, and Spanish.
Teachers begin at a student’s diagnosed instructional level and
assist in achieving mastery by using innovative techniques, personalized
instruction, and focusing on each individual’s strengths.
