Preface Atlast!TimehascometowritetheprefacetomyPhD-thesis.Duringthe almostfiveandahalfyearsittookmetoarriveatthispoint,Istartedto comparetheprocessofdoingaPhDwiththerunningexercisesIdoinbetweentwofootballseasons.Ialwaysstartveryenthusiasticandmotivated; halfwayIdoubtthatIwillevermakeitandalmostregrettohavestarted; neartheendItryhardtoputinallremainingenergytomakeittothe finish;andafterwardsIfeelgood,happy,andproudaboutwhatI’vedone. LikeIfeelnow.OnebigdifferenceisthatduringmyPhD-careerIencounteredmanypeoplethathelpedmeorthatmadethewholeexercisemore pleasant.Thosepeopledeservetobeacknowledged.Well,hereitgoes.
