It is amazing to see just how much an inanimate object can bring back memories be they nice or not so, and many a person praised the Pioneers for the “waste not want not” mantra they seemed to live by. Elaine was right - it was a lovely day, the only mar on the horizon was I think the heat which could not be helped. Everyone seemed to enjoy the day and there was a lot of catch up talks about the MGs. A huge amount of effort had gone into the arranging of the day and all thanks must be made to Bruce for the management of the logistics even if I got lost and happily sailed up one road and down another to find the elusive Cobb and Co.
