throughout the year.<br />

A number of members displayed new additions<br />

to their garages including, Stuart & Ada Clark<br />

MGA, Garth & Leslie Barnes MGB and Don<br />

Madden’s MGB.<br />

This year we were able to discover new places<br />

to visit, Afisiandos, Degani Bakery, Mount<br />

Perry, Gladstone Harbour and the introduction<br />

of a Melbourne Cup Sweep. The poker run<br />

continues to be a popular part of our tours<br />

which provided funding for several table wines<br />

on the night. Many thanks to Gloria Clamp on<br />

her efforts throughout the year.<br />

David Miles was invited to address the<br />

members bringing us all up to date what has<br />

been happening at the head office and a brief<br />

outline on what was on the drawing board for<br />

all chapters that will hopefully see all chapters<br />

come together in <strong>2016</strong>. David invited us all<br />

to approach him with any ideas that they may<br />

have for this exciting intended project.<br />

Ian Wilhelmsen gave a presentation on the<br />

<strong>2016</strong> tour calendar that the drive committee had<br />

drawn up giving a brief explanation on each<br />

monthly event that comprises of a number of<br />

new adventures and also advising everyone<br />

that at this point of time it was not set in<br />

concrete as we have to take in account what<br />

David Miles has in mind.<br />

All members were invited to take part in the<br />

Chapter voting for the Best Food Award, Janelle<br />

Thomasson Club Member of the Year award<br />

and The Broken MG Award. Yeppoon’s Fish<br />

N Chips Afishiandos won the “Best Food”<br />

Award for their quality of food, presentation<br />

and friendly staff. Stuart & Ada Clark won the<br />

Janelle Thomasson’s Chapter Club member of<br />

the Year as they have always done their best to<br />

attend our tours, whereever it may have taken<br />

them and always with a smile. Gurney Clamp<br />

won back to back Broken MG award under the<br />

new points system. Gurney gained 4 points for<br />

a breakdown in <strong>January</strong>, with Jenny Hill giving<br />

him a scare with 3.5 during the same tour. Phil<br />

Henry gained 2 points, as did Jo Emmert, with<br />

Jim Armstrong and Ian Carleton picking up 1<br />

point each throughout the year.<br />
