Established in 1958, the CZOŁÓWKA Film Studio today is a
major production and post-production enterprise, working
in film and television. It also houses an extensive archive of
documentary films on historical and military issues. With
top-of-the-line post-production and editing equipment and
several sound stages in Warsaw, CZOŁÓWKA is one of
Poland’s leading film studios.
The company has always specialized in documentary films
on historical and military issues, however in recent years its
profile has undergone a gradual change in order to attract
younger filmmakers. When participating in the 30 Minutes
programme for first-time directors, CZOŁÓWKA produced
three of the programme’s films. Recent productions
included short documentary and feature films by Andrzej
Trzos-Rastawiecki, Grzegorz Pacek and Krzysztof Nowak-
Tyszowiecki. In 2007 CZOŁÓWKA completed the production
of Środa czwartek rano (Wednesday, Thursday Morning) by
Grzegorz Pacek and produced the documentary film
Cenzurowany życiorys by Joanna Żamojdo and documentary
series Z archiwum Czołówki by Mariusz Malinowski for TVN
