Established in 2002, the company has co-produced John
Kent Harrison’s Pope John Paul II, together with LuxVide,
RAI, Granada, CBS Productions, Baltmedia and TVP.
Currently working on the film version of Mozart’s opera Don
Giovanni (directed by Mariusz Treliński, production design
by Boris Kudlička). Close cooperation with Sephirot.com in
the field of 3D computer graphics and production of
animated films.

Since its launch in 1989, FILMCONTRACT continues to
produce feature films, television series, documentaries and
TV theatres. The company’s projects are intended both for
cinema audiences and television broadcasters, both public
and private. FILMCONTRACT often participates in
international co-productions and provides film services to
foreign partners, with special focus on the Germany. Recent
titles include The Call of the Toad (Poland/Germany 2005)
by Robert Gliński and What Sun Has Seen by Michał Rosa.
Other major works include Angelus (2000), Wojaczek (1998)
and The Gateway of Europe (1998). In 2007 and 2008
FILMCONTRACT produced the full-length documentary
Homo.pl by Robert Gliński and two features – Rysa
(Damage) by Michał Rosa and the highly acclaimed Polish-
German co-production Tulpan by Sergei Dvortsevoy.
Currently three new feature projects are in preparation.

television series. Co-producer Wesele (The Wedding) by
Wojciech Smarzowski – awarded the best Polish movie of
2005. Company produced Tulipany (Tulips) by Jacek Borcuch.
The current feature project is Dom zły (The Dark House) by
Wojciech Smarzowski.

Company established in 2002 as the executive producer of
Steven Seagal movies. Recently produced the box-office hit
Ja wam pokażę (I’ll Show You) and Skorumpowani. 2008
brought the launch of the production of Wojna polsko-ruska
by Xawery Żuławski, based on a popular novel by Dorota
Masłowska.

Produces feature and documentary films, focusing mainly
on Catholic religious topics. Selected titles: Kto się boi
Fryderyka Chopina, Konkurs (both for PLANETE) and the
documentary film to commemorate the 20 th anniversary of
the prominent priest’s premature death entitled Zwycięzcy
nie umierają – opowieść o Księdzu Jerzym (50 min. Focus
Producers/TVP), directed by Rafał Wieczyński. Currently in
production – full-length bio pic Popiełuszko, which is to be
released in cinemas in February 2009.

Polish division of the international Fremantle Media
corporation, responsible for television formats and original
programming. Projects include Idol, Egzamin z życia, Na
Wspólnej. In 2008 FREMANTLEMEDIA launched the
production of the television series Brzydula for TVN, based
on the popular Ugly Betty, as well as the new series of the
crime show Wydział zabójstw for TVP.
