features, including many co-productions. Executive producer
for Channel 4 and BBC productions. Specialized in location
scouting in Poland and organizing shooting for foreign
crews. MS FILMS participated in the following film projects:
The Somme, Aryan Coupe, Through Hell For Hitler and D-
Day to Berlin. Most recently, MS FILMS produced Jasminum
by Jan Jakub Kolski and Piotr Uklanski’s western Summer
Love. In 2007 MS FILMS produced Behind closed doors for
BBC History and the documentary Klezmerzy by Krzysztof
Zanussi for the TV channel WDR.

Recently the company took part (as producer or executive
producer) in the production of hit romantic comedies Tylko
mnie kochaj (Just Love Me), Dlaczego nie! (Why Not!), Nigdy
w życiu (Never Ever), The Lovers and also in the following
television series: Kryminalni, M jak miłość and Złotopolscy.
MAXFILM also produced a number of films for young adults,
including To my, Sposób na Alcybiadesa and Spona. In 2008
MAXFILM produced Nie kłam kochanie, another blockbuster
romantic comedy.

The renowned production company OPUS FILM produces
commercials, documentaries and feature films. It is known
for features from young filmmakers, having produced
Sławomir Fabicki’s Retrieval (Polish candidate for foreignlanguage
Academy Award) and many other features,
including Edi and The Master (both from Piotr Trzaskalski),
The Boy on a Galloping Horse by Adam Guziński (Cannes
2006) and Your Name is Justine by Franco de Pena. The
company’s involvement in a film project begins with
development and continues through the various stages of
production and into post-production and publicity at
international film festivals. In 2007 the company produced
Mr. Kuka’s Lessons, Tricks, Absolute Beginner and Spring
1941. 2008 brought the production of two documentaries
(Nie wyobrażam sobie życia bez tańczącego świata and
Rodziców się nie wybiera) and two features –Zero and
Tamagotchi, based on a script by Marcin Wrona and
Grażyna Trela. This script was awarded top prize in the
Polish edition of Hartley-Merrill and placed third in the
international competition.
