RISCO – Smart Home
RISCO Smart Home provides end-users with a
professional security system that boasts intelligent
home automation; combining video monitoring,
energy management, smart access and easy
control of lighting. Managed from the iRISCO
smartphone app, RISCO Smart Home can be
integrated as an add-on to all RISCO systems via
the Microsoft Azure powered RISCO Cloud.
Videcon – Sequrinet
With Sequrinet, installers now have the option of
Enhanced Password Control on recording devices
which prohibits the use of ‘1234’ and other easily
infiltrated passwords and only allow the use of
passwords that feature a combination of
numbers, lower case letters, upper case letters
and symbols that are over five characters long.
Seagate – 10TB SkyHawk
The 10TB SkyHawk HDD is for surveillance
systems relying on large storage solutions for
network video recording (NVR). SkyHawk drives
use rotational vibration sensors to help minimise
read/write errors, and can support the razor sharp
vision of 64 cameras. Ideal for modern, hiresolution
systems running 24/7, SkyHawk drives
also come with a data recovery services option for
additional peace of mind
Inner Range – Inception
Inception is an access control and security system
designed for use as a stand-alone system within
small to medium sized buildings and facilities.
Fitted with IP comms straight out of the box,
Inception is capable of monitoring up to 512
detection points, can provide physical access for
up to 32 doors and 64 card readers and can also
control lighting and air conditioning systems.
Dantech – SecurePoE
Designed and manufactured in Great Britain
specifically for security applications, Dantech
Electronic Engineering’s range of SecurePoE
products provide installers and designers with
flexible power supply solutions. Making
installation and set-up easy, the PoE power
supplies allow direct engineer access via a laptop,
to any connected PoE devices, allowing fast
remote set-up and maintenance.
Elmdene - Selectable Switch Mode
PSU Range
The 12V dc/24V dc ‘selectable’ switch mode range
of power supplies from Elmdene has been
designed for access control, CCTV and general
purpose applications that require the use of a
standby battery. Being ‘switchable’ allows the
installer to simply select the output voltage to
either 13.8V dc or 27.6V dc when installing the
PSU by operating a PCB switch.
Axis - Zipstream
The winner of the Technology Innovation of the
Year Award last year, Zipstream compression
technology reduces (by 50% on average)
bandwidth requirements and storage needs of
high performance cameras without compromising
on video footage output. Scenes containing
interesting details are recorded in full quality and
resolution while other areas are filtered out.
Raytec - VARIO 2 IP
VARIO 2 IP is a range of fully IP addressable
network illuminators that can be operated
remotely via a GUI or be integrated with third
party platforms or network devices to deliver an
automatic lighting response to different events or
alarms. VARIO 2 IP is an evolution of the VARIO IP
range and offers improved distances, additional
security and more options for integrating with
other network devices.
WD – Purple 10TB
The Western Digital Purple HDD with a capacity of
up to 10TB is the newest member of the
company’s hard drive line for surveillance
applications. Optimised to withstand the
demands of always-on DVR and NVR recording
environments, 10TB WD Purple hard drives offer
low power consumption and exclusive WD
technologies such as AllFrame 4K and HelioSeal.
CQR - Coloured Rip Cord
As of January 2017 all security cable from CQR
contains a coloured rip cord. This change has
been made after consultation and feedback from
installers in relation to BS4737-3.30:2015, and
allows the identification of the cable type after it
has been installed. There is a simple colour
coding of the rip cord to allow the type of cable to
be identified.
